As this summer comes to a close, Cups and Cones looks back on a very successful season. With around a month of business left, Cups and Cones employees have put together their thoughts and recommendations for you to take into consideration over the next few weeks. From Black Raspberry to Pumpkin, what were the favorite flavors of the week? Which were loved by the community, and which weren’t?
With plans to be open until around Halloween, the employees have been thinking back on this year. Manager Annie Fier sums it up by saying: “We’ve had good business this year, even in hot or snowy weather. People just love ice cream!”. The last 2 flavors for the season are Salted Caramel and Pumpkin. After that, it’s a surprise.
Almost all of the people interviewed agreed on one thing: They love their raspberry ice cream. “The amount of times I’ve had people call in asking when we’re getting raspberry again is insane,” employee Sophie House states, “I’ve had people come up to the window just to ask when we’re getting raspberry back. People love it,”
But what flavors aren’t as well-loved? The answer to this question is a bit more varied: Flavors like coconut, cotton candy, orange, banana, and key lime are left underappreciated. Another employee, Dalani Beuthien, sums it up by saying: “Pretty much every fruit flavor except for strawberry and raspberry aren’t super popular.”
What flavors should you be on the lookout for next season? Cups and Cones has a wide range of flavors available, but many agree that Salted Caramel, Black Raspberry, and Cake Batter are ones to be on the lookout for. But if these aren’t in season, here are some good options if you want to try something new:
