With Halloween right around the corner, people often wonder what everyone's favorite Halloween candy is. Polls were taken around CDHS and here were some of the results.
First Place:
Reeses Cups received 33.8% of the votes, the majority of the vote. Here are some explanations for why it's the favorite:
Mr. LaPage, a math teacher says “I'm not a huge fan of chocolate, I don't enjoy just purely chocolate candy. I have been a fan of RPBC since I was a kid, and I'm not sure why. They are my FAVORITE candy. I enjoy Snickers, Twix, Butterfinger, etc. Basically, anything that isn't JUST chocolate. But RPBC is #1. Also, anybody that says Candy Corn is their favorite is lying. Nobody likes Candy Corn. If you hand out Candy Corn for Halloween, you're probably a criminal or you hate fun.”
Student Megan George, a senior says, “The mix of peanut butter and chocolate, absolutely love. There are also well-frozen”
Lastly, Christina Reyna, a senior says, “The salty with sweet makes it so good.”
Second Place:
Second place is a tie between Twix and Sour Patch Kids with both getting 10.3% of the votes.
Sophie House a junior, says “I don't like chocolate and I love sour candy,” referring to Sour Patch Kids
Lillian Rouse, a freshman says “It's good when they're a little frozen and because they're sour,” also about Sour Patch Kids
Susan Bormann, an instructional coach says “It's sweet, but not too sweet,” about Twix.
Khalief Tanner, a sophomore says “I feel like you can never really go wrong with a Twix”
Third Place:
Lastly in third place is candy corn with 7.4% of the votes
Ella Taylor, a freshman says “I freaking love candy corn.”
Elanye Trimmer, a freshman says “It's like chewing on wax (in a good way).”
Lastly, Tori Brassard, a junior says “I just love the taste of it.”
Out of all the options there are to choose from the 4 best Halloween candies, at least according to students and staff at CDHS, are Reeses Peanut Butter Cups, Sour Patch Kids, Twix, and classic Candy Corn.
